Perpetuo Has Life

Jesus said: “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that may have life and have it abundantly. I am the good shepherd; the good shepherd lays down His life for the sheep…” Jn 10, 10-11

Jesus wants us to have an abundant life, and so those Perpetuo.

Academic life, Athletic life, Artistic life, Student life with its thousand-and-one activities, family life, community life, and most important of all Spiritual life, which is the fire burning beneath each life manifestation.

Perpetuo Socorro’s forty-five clubs and the many classes, sponsor countless activities which, besides promoting community service, provide the students with a unique opportunity to develop positive leadership, genuine comradeship, and sportsmanship. APS’s membership in the Puerto Rico High School Athletic Alliance enables our students to participate in thirty-two sports. The Fine Arts Department polishes their artistic and musical talents. The Student Council’s Spirit Days strengthen friendship ties among students. The yearly “convivencias” of the Student Council and the Honor Clubs serve as leadership workshops for members and guests. Of utmost importance is the exposure that students have to bring assistance and tender, loving care to underprivileged people in countries such as Peru, Honduras, and Guatemala through the trips organized by the Missionary Hands Club during the Easter vacation.

Among the many religious activities which highlight the school year we find: spiritual retreats for grades seven thru twelve, the traditional “Aguinaldo Masses”, First Communion for our third graders, and Confirmation for eleventh graders.
